Scholarship Opportunity
Each year AWC Topeka Chapter bestows an academic scholarship to a Washburn University student majoring in a communications field--Mass Media, Communications, Graphic Arts. Deadline for the 2009 scholarship has yet to be determined.

Purpose of Scholarship
To recognize a Washburn University student, female or male, for communication excellence and to support the education of students studying in an area of communications who are currently enrolled in either a Art, Business,
Communication, Education, Human Services or Mass Media program.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to any returning Washburn student who will attend Washburn in Fall 2008. Students must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA upon selection. We look for students who have participated in activities that reflect a strong interest in communications as a career. Skills in the areas of creative writing, event
management, leadership, media relations, or multi-audience communication will be considered.
